Item Info

Item Info may be accessed from three menu setup screens:

Each option will present the Item Islnfo command option, allowing you access to item info types.

Item Info is customizable information about an item that is tracked by the system. There are eight user defined fields or item attributes available for this purpose: six text fields and two date fields.

Examples of Item Info: Brands, grades, box number, harvest date, sell by date, etc.

Because many companies and industries have different needs, the system allows users to define the names of these fields and attributes for different item categories. These eight fields flow through all inventory transactions starting with the Item Info standards, defined in Lot Info, which can be defaulted into purchases and purchase orders.

You may define one or more Item Info categories or types to record sets of item information attributes about different kinds of products. The item is then associated with the Item Info category, and the information that you specify for that category can be printed on paperwork and displayed on various screens throughout the system.

Item Info should not be confused with other specific information which is tracked by the system, such as country of origin, lot numbers, or slots. Think of Item Info as additional free-form fields that can be used to define and track additional information about a specific lot of inventory throughout the system.

As inventory is processed into finished goods, the eight Item Info fields become the basis of the produced Item Info.

The field lengths of text fields 3 & 4 can be set from 0-5 characters in length through Item Options.

If Trace reporting is activated in Interface Options , options will appear to select which lot text 1- 6 and date 1 and 2 fields will be used to map the Net•Yield item info attributes to the Trace item and source product attributes See Trace Overview for additional information on Using Trace.

Item Info	The ID used to identify the Item Info template.
Name	The name of the Item Info template.
Type	S = Seafood, I = Item or Product, N = none or not needed.The seafood designation opens up other fields used in the system which relate to tracking fishing vessel landing information as required by the National Marine Fisheries Northeast Region – SAFIS Reporting System.
Text 1 Name	The name of the 10 character Item Info Text 1 field. Leave empty to suppress.
Size	The field length size for text 1 is fixed to 10 characters.
Print Text 1 Field on:	Print the 10 character Text 1 field on the forms and reports specified: N = not using, Y = print the field name and attribute value, S = suppress the field name and print only the attribute value. If Trace reporting is activated in Interface Options, determine if the field will be included in the Trace XML Import Documents and which Trace attribute will be used to report Text 1 information. The Trace options are: 0 = qualitygrade, 1 = custom1, 2 = custom2, 3 = sizegrade, 4 = productcondition, 5 = fishinghmethod, 6 = pondtank, 7 = fdaclearance, 8 = certificationnumber
Text 1 Field Sort Order	The positional sort order of the Text 1 field relative to the other Item Info fields 0-9 including country of origin.
Text 2 Name	The name of the 15 or 30 character Item Info Text 2 field. Leave empty to suppress.
Size	Determines the width of the Text 2 Field: 30 = 30 characters, 15 = 15 characters.
Print Text 2 Field on:	Print the 15 or 30 character Text 2 field on the forms and reports specified: N = not using, Y = print the field name and attribute value, S = suppress the field name and print only the attribute value. If Trace reporting is activated in Interface Options, determine if the field will be included in the Trace XML Import Documents and which Trace field will be used to report Text 2 information. Text 2 Field Sort Order	The positional sort order of the Text 2 field relative to all other Item Info Fields 0-9.
Text 3 Name	The name of the Item Info Text 3 field. Leave empty to suppress.
Size	Text 3 can have a variable length of 0-5 characters See Item Options to set the field length.
Print Text 3 Field on:	Print the 1-5 character Text 3 field on the forms and reports specified: N = not using, Y = print the field name and attribute value, S = suppress the field name and print only the attribute value .If Trace reporting is activated in Interface Options, determine if the field will be included in the Trace XML Import Documents and which Trace attribute will be used to report Text 3 information. Text 4 Name	The name of the 1-5 character Item Info Text 4 field. Leave empty to suppress. See Item Options to control length.
Size	Text 4 can have a variable length of 0-5 characters See Item Options to set the field length.
Print Text 4 Field on:	Print the 1-5 character Text 4 field on the forms and reports specified: N = not using, Y = print the field name and attribute value, S = suppress the field name and print only the attribute value. If Trace reporting is activated in Interface Options , determine if the field will be included in the Trace XML Import Documents and which Trace attribute will be used to report Text 4 information. The Trace options are:0 = qualitygrade, 1 = custom1, 2 = custom2, 3 = sizegrade, 4 = productcondition, 5 = fishinghmethod, 6 = pondtank, 7 = fdaclearance.
Text 4 Field Sort Order	The positional sort order of the Text 4 field relative to all other Item Info fields 0-9.
Text 5 Name	The name of the Item Info Text 5 field. Leave empty to suppress.
Size	The field length for text 5 is fixed at two characters.
Print Text 5 Field on:	Print the 2 character Text 5 field on the forms and reports specified: N = not using, Y = print the field name and attribute value, S = suppress the field name and print only the attribute value. Date 1 Field Sort Order	The positional sort order of the Date 1 field relative to all other Item Info fields 0-9.
Date 2 Name	The name of the Item Info Date 2 field. Leave empty to suppress.
Print Date 2 Field on:	Print the Date 2 field on the forms and reports specified: N = not using, Y = print the field name and attribute value, S = suppress the field name and print only the attribute value .If Trace reporting is activated in Interface Options, determine if the field will be included in the Trace XML Import Documents and which Trace attribute will be used to report Date 1 information. The Trace options are A = HarvestDate, B = ProductionDate
Date 2 Field Sort Order	The positional sort order of the Date 2 field relative to all other Item Info fields 0-9.
Country of Origin Printing	Print the COOL identify on the UO,PL,LS and SO based on E = English Only ( the COOL Identify description) A = Alias Only ( the COOL identity ID), B = Both the COOL identity name and id) , N = Not Using. If Trace reporting is activated in Interface Options,, determine if the field will be included in the Trace XML Import Documents Y = Yes, N = Not Using.
Country of Origin Sort Order	The positional sort order of the Cool Identity field relative to all other Item Info fields 0-9.
Sell By Date: (UO, SO, BL, IN Trace)	Used to calculate sell by dates based on which date is selected plus XX number of days based on the Days added for Sell by Date field for the item: N = not using, S = ship date, Y= use the ship date if unlotted or the lot opened date if lotted, 1 = use Date1, 2 = use Date 2. The sell by date will print on the UO - Unshipped Sales Orders, SO - Shipped Sales Orders, BL- Bill of Lading and IN- Invoice If Trace reporting is activated in Interface Options, determine if the field will be included in the Trace XML Import Documents and which Trace attribute will be used to report the sell by date information. The Trace options are the same as above.
Print Lot Number on:	Print the lot number on the forms and reports specified: N = not using, Y = print the field name and attribute value, S = suppress the field name and print only the attribute value. The lot number will always print on the WO ,PT, and IR.
Print Ordered Quantity on Lot on:	Print the lot ordered quantity based on the ordered unit of measure or item pack on the forms specified: N = not using, Y = using. and reports specified: N = not using, Y = print the field name and attribute value. The ordered quantity is not used in WO ,PT, and IR.
Print Pricing Quantity on Lot on:	Print the lot ordered or shipped quantity based on the invoicing unit of measure on the forms and reports specified: N = not using, Y = print the field name and attribute value.The pricing quantity is not used in WO ,PT, and IR.
Print Stocking Quantity on Lot on:	Print the lot ordered or shipped quantity based on the stocking unit of measure on the forms specified: N = not using, Y = using. and reports specified: N = not using, Y = print the field name and attribute value.The stocking unit of measure is used in WO ,PT, and IR.
Print Weight Quantity on Lot on:	Print the lot quantity converted to pounds on the forms and reports specified: N = not using, Y = print the field name and attribute value, The weight is not in WO ,PT, and IR if the stocking unit of measure is not LB..
Dealer ID	The Item Info dealer ID or federal dealer permit number.

Trace Item Code Item Info Name	Enter the field name to be used for the Trace source product system default item code field. The default is "Item Code".
Trace Item Code Source	Determines if the system default for the source product item id will be entered at the time of receiving or default from the Item id, the vendor's item alias or one of the text fields A = Ask, V = Vendor Item Alias, I = Item, 1 = Text1, 2 = Text2, 6 = Text6, N = Not Using. The default is V = Vendor Item Alias.
Trace Item Code Size	The Trace source product Item Code length can be 8 to 25 characters. The default length is 8.
Trace Purchase Order Number Item Info Name	Enter the field name to be used for the Trace source product system default Purchase Order field. The default is "PO Number".
Trace PO Number Source	Determines if the system default for the source product purchase order number will be entered at the time of receiving or default from the Purchase Order Number or one of the text fields A = Ask, T = Transaction Number, 1 = Text1, 2 = Text2, 6 = Text6, N = Not Using. The default is T = Transaction Number, The default is T = Transaction Number.
Trace Purchase Order Number Size	The Trace source product Purchase Order Number Length can be 5 to 50 characters. The default is 5.
Trace Production Date Item Info Name	Enter the field name to be used for the source product system default Production Date field. The default is "Prod Date".
Trace Production Date Source	Determines if the source product system default for the Production Date will be entered at the time of receiving or default from either of the two date fields: A = Ask, 7 = Date1, 8 = Date2, N = Not Using. The default is N = Not Using. The default is N = Not Using.
Trace Batch Number Item Info Name	Enter the field name to be used for the source product system default Batch Number field. The default is "Lot Number".
Trace Batch Number Source;	Determines if the source product system default for the Batch Number will be entered at the time of receiving or default from one of the text fields A = Ask, 1 = Text1, 2 = Text2, 6 = Text6, N = Not Using. The default is N = Not Using.
Trace Batch Number Size	The Trace source product Batch Number Length can be 8 to 50 characters. The default is 12.
Trace Custom1 Item Info Name	Enter the field name to be used for the source product system default Custom 1 field. The default is "Custom 1"
Trace Custom1 Source	Determines if the source product system default for the Custom 1 field will be entered at the time of receiving or default from one of the text fields A = Ask, 1 = Text1, 2 = Text2, 6 = Text6, N = Not Using. The default is N = Not Using.
Trace Custom1 Size	The Trace source product Custom 1 Length can be 1 to 50 characters. The default is 10.
Trace Custom 2 Item Info Name	Enter the field name to be used for the source product system default Custom 2 field. The default is "Custom 2".
Trace Custom 2 Source	Determines if the source product system default for the Custom 2 field will be entered at the time of receiving or default from one of the text fields A = Ask, 1 = Text1, 2 = Text2, 6 = Text6, N = Not Using. The default is N = Not Using.
Trace Custom2 Size	The Trace source product Custom 2 Length can be 1 to 50 characters. The default is 10.
